Free 90-minute walking tours in Oakland’s downtown districts offered by the City of Oakland.
The images of author Jack London will surround you as you tour the historic square and waterfront. Visit a turn-of-the-century wholesale produce district still in operation and see the USS Potomac, the restored yacht of President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Downtown Oakland’s continuing renaissance has captured national media attention, with Uptown emerging as a premier arts and entertainment destination. Local residents and visitors can glimpse both today’s happening scene and landmarks from Oakland’s past during the 2019 Oakland Tours season.
Schedule: Tours are offered Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. Reservations are recommended, but not required.

Parking is available at various garages and surface lots in the area.
