What’s Jack London Neighborhood BINGO?

Jack London BINGO is a fun way to explore the neighborhood, discover new favorites, and support our local businesses—all while earning prizes! This initiative is designed to get residents and workers out and about, visiting the amazing small businesses that make Jack London such a unique and vibrant place to live.

The past few years have been tough on our local businesses. COVID-19 and the current economic climate have created real challenges. A bright spot is our booming residential community. Our local spots need your support to thrive—and this is your chance to make a difference while having fun!

How It Works

  1. Lookout for a BINGO card in the mail, or request one here.
  2. Complete activities listed on the card (e.g., “Buy a coffee,” “Visit a gallery,” or “Order a handroll”).
  3. Get a line (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) to win a small prize like a $10 gift card to a Jack London business or a free ticket to an upcoming event.
  4. Feeling ambitious? Complete a blackout (fill the whole card) to win a grand prize valued at $50 or more!
  5. Some squares require you to visit a specific business and some may require a purchase. In both cases the applicable business will stamp your card for you. Some squares do not require visiting a business (selfie squares). They just require you to take a photo of yourself in the designated location!
  6. Once a line or blackout is completed, sign your signature on the line under the BINGO grid, upload a picture of the card and your "selfies" to this Google form. The signature ensures these cards are not redeemed for multiple prizes.
  7. Receive your prize, a gift from the Jack London Improvement District!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I get a BINGO card?

A: We mailed out BINGO cards to about 1200 residents in the district. Didn't get one? Request one via this Google form. BINGO cards are for only for people who live, work, or own property in Jack London at this time.

Q: Can you tell me what the prizes are?

A: The prizes vary as supplies last, but you can expect a $10 item/gift card from a participating business for completing a line of BINGO and a $50 grand prize for completing blackout.

Q: How long do I have to get BINGO?

A: Completed BINGO cards will be accepted up until September 30, 2025 or until our prize fund runs out. Check our form to ensure completed BINGO card submissions are still open for this round. 

Q: Can I redeem my card for BINGO and then use the same card for a blackout?

A: No. To ensure prizes are fairly spread out, we are asking each participant to choose to go for either a line of BINGO or blackout. Once a card is redeemed for BINGO, it can't then be used to complete a blackout.
