Come taste wines from two incredible East Bay queer women winemakers, and take some bottles home for Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving! Terah Bajjalieh of Terah Wine Co. & Sabrina Tamayo of Ruby Blanca will team up to pour a flight of new releases. We were so thrilled with these wines (and so convinced they’ll be brilliant with Thanksgiving fare) that we’ve been saving them for the occasion!
Terah grew up in California, but discovered her love for food & wine through travels abroad. She earned a master’s degree in Enology & Viticulture from Montpellier SupAgro in France, is a Certified Sommelier, and has worked harvests in five different countries. She launched Terah Wine Co., in 2020, making elegant natural wines that showcase unique California vineyard sites.
Sabrina grew up traveling between the family home in Miami and their farm in Campamento, Colombia, where they grew coffee, cotton, bananas, and cattle. She credits this experience with her deep appreciation for the connections among land, culture, and history. In New York and the Bay Area, she worked for a long list of notable restaurants with strong wine programs, and studied to become a sommelier. Sabrina worked harvests with Ryme and Bedrock, then joined the Two Eighty Project apprenticeship program in 2021. Moving away from the restaurant industry during the pandemic, she founded Ruby Blanca, named for her grandmothers Rubelia and Blanca.
