Celebrate Halloween with a fun and laid-back Bar & Food Crawl in the Jack London District! On Thursday, October 31st, we’re inviting you to dress up, explore the neighborhood, and enjoy tricks, treats, and drinks at some of Oakland's best local bars and restaurants. Think all the best parts of trick-or-treating plus all the best parts of being an adult!
This unique event offers a casual, adult-oriented way to celebrate Halloween on Halloween, and the best part—it’s FREE to attend!
What to Expect:
- Special Halloween-themed food and drink offers at participating venues. RSVP for free and automatically receive discounted items at participating businesses!
- A printed map and program listing all participating businesses and their offers.
- Collect stamps on your program by visiting each spot and purchasing from at least two locations to earn a mystery prize!
- Fun Halloween-themed programming like music, trivia, and more.
- Wristbands and programs available at 333 Broadway throughout the night.
Participating businesses will be offering exclusive discounts to RSVP'd participants, and there will be an option to donate to a community clean up project. Don’t miss this chance to experience the Jack London District in all its spooky glory!

Frequently asked questions
Is this event family friendly?
Although some of our local businesses are 21+ only, family friendly businesses will be noted on the program, so feel free to bring kids along to those select businesses. The program will be available at check in (located at 333 Broadway) on the day of the event.
Is this event dog friendly?
Similarly to our answer above, some of our local businesses welcome your furry friends into their establishments. We will also be marking which businesses are dog-friendly on our printed program, which you'll be able to pick up at 333 Broadway on the day of the event.
I'm a Jack London business owner and I would love to participate! How can I join?

I see this event is "donation optional." Where does my donation go?
Your donation will go to help funding our community clean up efforts! We need supplies such as gloves, trash bags, masks, litter pickers. We hope to plan semi-regular community clean up events and need $ to make these events possible.
Well it wouldn't be much of a mystery if we told you!... But what we can say is that they are purchased from a handful of our participating businesses and will be given out at random to those who visit *all* participating businesses and provide proof of purchase from at least 2 of them on 10/31.
